A unique alpine
village
Dinner Plain is the newest village in Australia, officially settled in
1986. Situated on the highest freehold
land in Australia
and architecturally inspired by the characteristics of the old cattlemen's
huts. Today the village comprises over 300 private lodges, cabins, apartments
and commercial lodges.
Dinner Plain provides a fun, friendly
and active environment in summer and winter.
In winter enjoy a host of activities including beginner downhill and
cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, toboggan rides, shopping and relaxing at the bar or by the
open fireplaces. In summer enjoy the cool mountain air, explore remote streams
and rivers as you wander through stunning snowgums or see the area on
horseback. Fish for trout or enjoy a short walk through the picturesque
architecturally designed village.
