Summer Activities
From the heights of Mount Hotham to the seclusion of Dinner Plain, you are drawn into a world of postcard perfect mountain views, fields scattered with alpine wildflowers and the chance to indulge in a host of high country adventures.
There are activites for all including short walks around Dinner Plain - Room with a View and Charmichael Falls and Table Top are favourites, or for more challenging terrain head to Hotham to take on the razorback or Mt Loch. Take your road bike and challenge yourself on Australia's highest road or explore the mountain biking trails around the village. At the end of the day have a massage and relax at the Onsen Retreat and Spa.
You can also enjoy relaxed dining on the sun drenched balconies and courtyards of our cosy eateries and restaurants. With so much to explore it's hard to just stay 1 day.

Explore the Top 5 walking trails of Dinner Plain
- JB Plain, Dead Timber Hill, Precipice Plain, Table Top and Room with a View
Take a horse ride, hire a bike, go on a guided walk or take a fly fishing tour with Adventures with Altitude
- Half Day bike hire only $30 per person
- Visit Adventures with Altitude and speak to Rose or Rich to find out more. You will find them at Crisp's Hut in Dinner Plain
Hike Victoria's 2nd highest mountain - Mt Feathertop!
For the alpine adventurers you may like to take on the challenges of hiking Mt Feathertop, a 22km round trip (approximately 7 hours) along the razorback
Cycle Australia's highest bitumen road!
Cycle on the road from Dinner Plain to Hotham just 12km away and take in the spectacular views. For the adventurers, you can cycle further down the hill to come back and take on two Category 1 climbs up CRB hill and the Summit.
Hike the 3 Peaks at Hotham
Mt Loch, Little Higgi and Big Higgi. Just ask when you check in for maps and directions.
